Judge Omar Ahmed Mohammed

Judge Omar Mohamed is presently Deputy Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Independent High Electoral Commission.
Before joining the IHEC, Judge Omar worked as a lawyer for 6 years, then became an investigation judge in Chamchamal Investigation Court. He then worked at the Sulaimaniyah Court of First Instance as a first judge, then as Deputy President.

Mr. Mohammed was born in 1966 in Iraq and holds a Bachelor’s diploma in Law, and a Masters’ in Judicial Science.
