Judge Jaleel Adnan Khalef

Judge Jalil Adnan Khalaf first worked as a judicial assistant to a forensics investigator, and after his judicial appointment, he assumed the position of an Appeals judge at the Dhi Qar Federal Court, then as vice-president of the Federal Court of Appeal of Dhi Qar, after which he was nominated to work in the Independent High Electoral Commission at the beginning of 2019, which he now serves as a the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners.

The chairman’s primary role is to ensure that the board is effective in its task of strategizing, administering and implementing IHEC’s mandate.

Judge Jalil was born in 1973 in Iraq and holds a Bachelor’s diploma in Law from the University of AlBasrah, and a Masters’ in Judicial Science.
