Statement
The Independent High Electoral Commission(IHEC) started on today, Thursday, 21, October 2021, responding to 181 appeals and auditing them by specialized department, under the study of the board of commissioners this Thursday, which rejected (174) appeals and accepting 7 of them that have been supported by evidences as follows: Baghdad 2, Basra 1, Erbil 1, Nineveh 3.
Accordingly, the stations against which theappeals had been lodged will be reopened under in accordance with Article (38) of the Elections Law, and the votes will be sorted and counted manually and in the presence of representatives of the competing candidates within dates, procedures, and mechanisms to be determined later and notified before an appropriate period. IHEC will state the daily appeals-report in daily statements, in light of the appeals that are considered daily until they are all completed.
